Nicky Bateman launches The Soothing Baby Clinic

This new clinic is specifically aimed at supporting parents with young babies, 2-12 weeks old, struggling with persistent crying and colic. The Soothing Baby Clinic is being held at Luck’s Yard Clinic in Milford, Surrey.

Nicky Bateman is delighted to announce the launch of a very special Soothing Baby Clinic – a new integrated, rapid screening clinic for young babies (0-12 weeks) at Luck’s Yard Clinic in Milford.  The clinic service is targeted at supporting parents and young babies suffering with persistent crying.  The clinic session includes NHS health screening tests and a chiropractic examination of the baby.  Parents will receive advice and guidance about the next immediate steps and actions to take to help resolve the challenges they are facing and support their baby.

The clinic will run on Saturday afternoons and will be free of charge until the end of May and after that a charge will apply.

Nicky Bateman is a respected and experienced paediatric chiropractor with over 18 years of experience and she is supported in the clinic by Helen Woodland, NHS Health Visitor, and has over 30 years of experience as a nurse and health visitor.

The aim of the clinic is to support and help parents and their babies.  For parents this will be providing a listening ear, face to face contact and guidance with an experienced health visitor.   For babies, it may help identify the probable root cause of their discomfort through chiropractic examination.  Babies will also be weighed and measured and their NHS health record updated.

As part of the clinic session, babies will try a unique specialist soother, designed specifically to help babies suffering with discomfort and persistent crying.

By the end of the visit, parents will have received advice and guidance about the next immediate steps and actions to take to help resolve the challenges their babies are having. The focus is to guide parents in the right direction for the right help, whether that is to see the GP or a referral to another appropriate professional or any other support.

Nicky Bateman D.C. CST Paediatric Chiropractor said “I am passionate about helping young infants and parents, that is why I have started this clinic.  I want to support parents to find the solution to their baby’s discomfort to give their baby the very best start in life.  Persistent crying causes distress for parents and can lead to a host of issues. It can have a huge impact on baby’s and can also affect them beyond the first few months of life if left untreated.  Resetting a baby’s system can help to solve these problems.”
